Marketing Seminars – Brochures & Leaflets
Decide to make your brochure a carefully target, skilful piece of communication. Don’t end up with a flabby, meaningless document that doesn’t successfully talk to anybody. That’s why the term ‘corporate glossy’ and ‘waste paper basket’ are so closely linked. If you do have a number of different markets that you are aiming at, create [...]
Marketing Seminars – Brochures & Leaflets
Before you start work on your brochure: 1. Everybody has some form of brochure or leaflet, but most of them are ineffective because they don’t explain how you can help your prospect. If your brochure spells out clearly what benefits you can offer your customer and nothing else, it will stand head and shoulders above [...]
Marketing Seminars – PR ideas
Deal with the facts- don’t be tempted to embellish a release with fancy language and irrelevant information. It can be particularly difficult to resist this temptation when writing a release that really doesn’t have much content to it. However, bear in mind that you need a good, strong story, so if it can be covered [...]
Marketing Seminars – PR ideas
Spend plenty of time crafting the first 10 words of your release- they must make an impact straight away. Because editors receive so many releases, it is essential that your first sentence grabs their attention. Spending half your time writing the first sentence and headline is a worthwhile investment of your time. Try to think [...]
Marketing Seminars – advertising
Just wanted to offer you a link to this advert which I think is superb as a concept and as a finished advert. In the age of it’s not what you say, but what you do, EDF Energy have come up trumps with their latest ad. Carrying the message of EDF Energy’s commitment to reducing [...]
Marketing Seminars – PR ideas
Consider first paragraph of the release very carefully: it should tell your audience what the key information is and why they should be interested in reading it- in other words, it should summarise what the rest of the release is about. Once you have written the whole release, you may be in a better position [...]
Marketing Seminars – PR ideas
With a news release, your headline is vital as this is what first catches an editor’s attention – I recommend writing this last of all. The headline should be a précis of the whole story, and it is only once the whole release is written that you are in a position to summarise it with [...]
Marketing Seminars – PR
Bear in mind your audience. Think about their perspective and present the facts in a way that is interesting to them: the readers of ‘Pig Farmers Gazette’ will be interested in different items to readers of ‘Watercolours Weekly’. If you are writing for a trade publication, you may want to go into more technical detail [...]
