Marketing Seminars – organiser feedback

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Thanks to Tara Carlile-Swift who sent me the following feedback from yesterday’s event:

“Once again Alastair’s speaking style captivated, inspired and challenged our audience who ranged from start-up businesses to established SME’s. His down to earth approach to marketing is refreshing. Our delegates left with real advice they can implement straight away – which is why Alastair’s style is so relevant in the current climate”

Marketing Seminars – Added Value

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

How do easyJet do it?  I’ve read books on the low cost airlines including easyJet and i still don’t understand how they can strip away so many costs.  For examle last week we flew to Crete.  For 4 of us (including all the extras that they charge) it cost £600. Two years ago XL, who have now gone bust, charged more that double that for the same destination at the same time of year.

I understand the idea behind easyJet and the other low cost airlines, but it still staggers me that a 4 hour flight to another country regulalry cost me less that a 1 hour train ticket into London, one hour from my house.

What’s more I have always had a good experiance when flying with them. The flights have always been on time, the staff friendly etc.

They are a great example of giving added value to customers – even if I don’t understand how they can do what they do and give such good value!

Well I’m pleased to say that I’m hosting a free evening seminar on February 9th at Hothorpe Hall (just outside Market Harborough) covering 12 practical ways to make the most of the current climate by producing effective low cost marketing.

Previous events have proved popular both as a networking opportunity and as a way to gain new marketing ideas.

For full details on the event see:

There is no charge for this seminar but places are limited and I should point out that previous seminars have been fully booked.

The event starts just after 6pm with the presentation due to run between 6.30 and 7.30 with further networking until 8pm.

To book your place (and bring up to 3 colleagues with you) please reply to this e-mail or call 01858 44 55 43

I’m looking forward to sharing these important ideas with you on Monday February 9th

By the way at this event I’ll also tell you about a brand new funding package for the Marketing Mentor programme that I run.  That means if you find the programme of interest then it needn’t cost you a penny.

Marketing Seminars – Goal setting for 2009

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Finally, I recently looked back at some of the goals I had when I set up The Ideal Marketing Company.  What seemed like an ambitious dream a few years ago is now part of my day to day reality.

If you do this, you will look back on 2008 as the year that you accomplished a whole series of things that in 2009 seemed difficult – if not impossible. This process, or similar ones have worked for the most successful men and women in history, from Henry Ford to John F. Kennedy from Mother Teresa to Richard Branson.  It’s used by great athletes and scientists, business owners and authors. Most people who achieve extraordinary things are not extraordinary people.  They are just ordinary people with goals that give them extraordinary enthusiasm and drive.  Now their secret is yours to use for the rest of 2007.

Goal setting is just one of the many areas that I cover in my marketing seminars – call or e-mail to find out more.
