There are plenty of things you can do to increase your direct mail response rates – and that applies to e-mail marketing as well. But I would say that the biggest thing to remember is to focus on ONE clear benefit or reason for people to contact you and them create a powerful headline around that point. It’s amazing how many letters have no focus and try to cram in too many ideas, prices and products. Pick a central message and create a headline that will generate interest on that single important topic.
