Talks to London Recruitment firms
I was delighted to be able to speak to a group of MDs of recruitment firms from the capital today in part one a two part session. The group meets on a monthly basis as part of a special programme run by www.recruitmenttraining.co.uk . Each month a different content expert talks about new ways for them to grow their business.
Last month I believe an Internet company was talking about ways to improve the ranking of their website. This month it was my turn to share some ideas on how to use simple low cost marketing.
I’ve actually run this talk a number of times. The nice thing is that because it is part one of a two part talk I’ll get to go back in a few months time and see how they got on in introducing the ideas we discussed.
That way I get to hear about how they have implemented some of the ideas. In the past I’ve listened as member after member has told be how they introduced the ideas and have generated more that a year’s membership cost of the group in extra revenue. It’s such a great feeling when you get feedback like that.
Today’s group went away with plenty of ideas and they seemed like a very smart bunch (I’m not just saying that in case they read this) so I’m looking forward to hearing how they got on next year.
The key – as always – is to act on the ideas. Notes in a notepad don’t do you any good. It is only when you take action that they make money.
